This relaxed, small-group bird walk is designed for both seasoned birders and newcomers wanting a more personal, educational outing in one of the most scenic reserves in the Overberg. The walk follows gentle terrain with regular pauses to observe, listen and learn — with the focus on experience, not distance or pace.
Because group sizes are kept small, each guest has direct access to our local expert for help with identification, behaviour insight and habitat interpretation. The Greyton Nature Reserve is rich in pristine fynbos and mountain foothill birdlife, making it one of the best places in the region to spot species that are often difficult to find elsewhere.
Possible sightings include Cape Sugarbird, Orange-breasted Sunbird, Malachite Sunbird, Greater Double-collared Sunbird, Bokmakierie, Yellow Bishop, Cape Grassbird and Cape Siskin, all set against dramatic mountain and fynbos scenery.
