This immersive village-to-village experience connects two of South Africa’s most charming heritage towns — Genadendal, the country’s oldest mission settlement, and Greyton, known for its oak-lined streets and Cape vernacular charm.
Your journey begins at The Adventure Hub in Greyton, where guests can self-drive or transfer to nearby Genadendal. Here, a local host leads a 2-hour historic walk, exploring landmark mission buildings, the Moravian church, artisan workshops and stories of early settlement life.
Afterward, enjoy a traditional farm-style lunch in Genadendal — prepared with local ingredients and served in a tranquil garden or heritage setting.
From there, the group continues on foot or via short transfer into Greyton for a 1.5-hour historic walk through the village centre — stopping at significant buildings, ancient trees and local legends that bring the town’s past to life.
